Responsibilities
  • Receive and process unserviceable parts in the company's computerized maintenance system for repair, exchange, quarantine, or disposal.
  • Actively track unserviceable parts to ensure their prompt return from the field and appropriate shipment against repair or exchange purchase orders.
  • Work with internal departments and operational bases to meet repair and external service requirements.
  • Identify the most appropriate supplier for the requirements.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Prepare shipping documents associated with purchase orders and communicate the required information to shipping clerks.
  • Keep the quarantine area for unusable parts well organized.
  • Liaise with service providers in Canada and abroad to ensure the timely return of repaired parts.
  • Perform parts repair clerk functions and duties in accordance with approved company maintenance procedures and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Act as an on-call buyer by participating in a 24-hour rotating on-call service for aircraft-on-ground situations.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
