  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited school
  • Licensed Dental Hygienist by the state of Indiana
  • Proficient computer skills, including the ability to use electronic health records and software (eClinicalWorks preferred)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation
  • BLS certification
  • Six months of experience in a clinical setting is preferred
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine dental procedures such as cleaning, polishing, and applying sealants and/or fluorides.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays.
  • Develop treatment plans with dentist input and educate patients as needed.
  • Assist dentists with special tests, procedures, and complex treatments.
  • Make impressions of patient’s teeth for study casts.
  • Complete dental charting, document laboratory procedures, and ensure follow-up on results.
  • Prepare dental treatment rooms for the next patient and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
  • Stay current on the latest dental hygiene techniques and tools.
  • Mentor and teach Expanded Function Dental Assistants, especially on new or emerging techniques and tools.
Desired Qualifications
