Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in Automotive Technology desirable
  • 3+ years applicable experience as an Automotive Technician strongly preferred
  • Ability to accurately repair vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic equipment
  • National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or Manufacturer Certification as a 'Master Automotive Technician', or equivalent knowledge and experience with the ability to attain the required certifications within 12 months of hire
  • State Safety and Emissions license as required by state location
  • Freon handling license for R12 and 134A refrigerant
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
  • Ability to pass a physical examination required by the Department of Transportation and must obtain and maintain the certificate for the duration of employment in the position.
Responsibilities
  • The accurate and timely repair and maintenance of company owned vehicles and customer vehicles, including passenger vehicles and light and medium-duty trucks
  • Complete all paperwork, including repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections, etc., with accuracy
  • Verify repairs are properly completed by re-testing repaired system to ensure proper function and road tests vehicles, as necessary, to identify concerns or validate repair
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of specialized skills, and continue to develop additional technical skills, to enable flexibility in work assignments
  • Other duties as assigned.
