Requirements
  • Completed vocational training as a warehouse logistics specialist or an equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in operational warehouse logistics and leadership experience as a team leader, shift leader, or in a comparable role.
  • Ability to clearly lead a team during ongoing shift operations, allocate work appropriately, communicate expectations clearly, and remain accessible and dependable under time pressure.
  • Practical knowledge of warehouse operations and ability to remain present on the warehouse floor and maintain oversight during high volumes, deviations, or special cases.
  • Structured and independent working style with a strong commitment to safety, quality, discipline, and reliable processes.
  • Very good spoken and written German.
  • Willingness to work a two-shift system between 09:00 and 21:00.
  • Very good understanding of automated warehouse systems, industrial trucks, and conveyor systems, with willingness to learn new technology.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and willingness to apply new systems reliably.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and provide functional direction to a team of up to 20 employees in outbound operations.
  • Plan shifts and staffing assignments, distribute tasks transparently, and consistently monitor agreed standards and results.
  • Ensure that order picking, product-appropriate packaging, and loading are performed safely, completely, on time, and at the required quality level.
  • Support the team operationally during staffing shortages or high workloads while addressing root causes and improving processes.
  • Coordinate warehouse, shipping, and sales activities and ensure clear handovers, including for dangerous-goods orders, shipping deviations, complaints, and special cases.
  • Lead shop-floor meetings covering priorities, responsibilities, and next steps.
  • Monitor productivity and process metrics, address deviations, and initiate concrete corrective measures.
  • Onboard new employees, provide guidance and feedback, and develop the team professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Implement Lean Management measures such as 5S and Kaizen and follow up on improvements with process and quality management.
  • Contribute experience to further automation, the introduction of new technology, and the transition to Unterschleißheim, helping establish improved processes sustainably.
  • Report directly to the Head of Warehouse Management.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional foreign-language skills.
  • Further training as a Fachwirt, Meister, or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of dangerous-goods regulations under ADR.
  • Forklift operator's license.
  • Ausbildung der Ausbilder (AdA) certificate.
