Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in competitive intelligence, strategy, market research, insights/analytics, health policy or management consulting in the life sciences industry
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred, but not required with 8+ years of relevant experience in competitive intelligence, strategy, market research, insights/analytics, health policy or management consulting in the life sciences industry
  • Experience partnering with commercial, marketing and medical teams and proactively developing insights to support decision making
  • High-impact, result-oriented and self-motivated
  • Strong business acumen, problem solving, presentation and analytical skills
  • Ability to think critically and objectively to evaluate, pressure test, analyze and communicate critical market intelligence
  • Strong vendor management skills and ability to effectively manage to budget
  • Familiar with or able to quickly learn cloud based systems and tools including Google Workspace (e.g., Google Slides, Google Sheets, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • Lead our efforts to understand relevant early cancer detection companies and their assay(s) including technologies used, clinical application, performance specifications, regulatory status, and market/commercial positioning
  • Synthesize insights from conferences/medical congresses, primary field-based intelligence, secondary research, and other data sources to inform commercial planning, prioritization, and response/messaging
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial and Medical teams to collect, analyze, and disseminate pertinent intelligence from key conferences, medical congresses/symposiums
  • Leverage gathered intelligence to work cross-functionally with key stakeholders across the organization to develop and generate recommended responsive strategies and actions
  • Proactively communicate market intelligence insights throughout the organization with relevant stakeholders at the appropriate level of detail and cadence; present findings in a compelling manner to crystalize risks and opportunities
  • Investigate areas of uncertainty and facilitate alignment on key market questions; Lead periodic strategic projects such as scenario planning, industry benchmarking, etc
  • Own and maintain database of relevant companies, technologies, product profiles, launch timings, and commercial metrics as applicable
  • Select and lead external vendors for the collection, analysis, and reporting of market intelligence data and insights
  • Leverage purchased/licensed data sources including syndicated databases, analyst reports, aggregation services, and others to supplement external market intelligence data collection
  • Track and handle budget
