The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for recruiting and enrolling freshmen, transfer, and re-admit students.
Job Description
University Ambassadors serve as the front-line of customer service for all prospective students and families. These students maintain a thorough knowledge of the university and will develop professional skills in communication, time management, and personal responsibility.
Job Location/ Hours Required
The candidate will perform job duties in various locations campus. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours.
Responsibilities:
- Greet families arriving on campus
- Lead campus tours for prospective students and families
- Assist with on-campus Admissions events
- Interact professionally at all times with University visitors, faculty, and staff
- Excel in communicating the University’s mission/goals & sharing personal experiences
- Assist with social media content and postings
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Nomination to the University Ambassador program occurs in the fall semester of a student’s first or second year, followed by an application and interview process. As students first, Ambassadors are required to maintain a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher to be eligible for the program. Ideal candidates will be involved on campus, committed to customer service and comfortable with public speaking.
