About the Role:

Help us advance our robotics moonshot by designing and creating scalable, reliable, innovative new hardware components for Nimble’s robotic systems.

You will play a critical role in working with our world-class cross-functional team to architect and build the world’s most advanced robotic systems for the world’s biggest robotics opportunity!

Responsibilities

Generate new concepts to solve our real world challenges.
Create reliable and scalable designs and concepts.
Design and implement specifications for life-cycle testings
Design components for manufacturing and assembling
Provide input on all aspects of product development from brainstorming to final delivery.
Welcome new challenges and work independently across disciplines to both investigate issues and identify solutions.

Qualifications

Fast learner, A-player, great work ethic and ambitious
BS/MS/Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of industry mechanical engineering experience
CAD expert (3+ yrs in Solidworks preferred)
Machine design experience is required for this role
Extensive Mechatronics skills, specializing in actuation & sensing
Experience with FEA, vibration analysis, risk analysis
Rapid prototyping, CNC, sheet metal design, plastics molding
Electronics & PCB integration, connectors & wiring harness design
Experience with CAM, fabrication documentation, GD&T, vendor selection, materials sourcing, reliability engineering, structural analysis
Design-for-manufacturing, Design for assembly, tooling experience
Project management and planning, PLM, Jira & Confluence

Nice To Have

Experience with robotics, automation of warehouses, factories or labs
Sensors and control systems
Cameras, optics, lenses, precision calibration
Linux shell, Python scripts and data analysis

Additional Requirements

Willing to work extended hours and weekends if needed
