- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- A valid New York State Driver’s License is required.
- BLS and AED Certification is required or must be obtained within six months of start.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and security incidents.
- Control facility access and ensure that only authorized personnel enter.
- Conduct regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
- Assist with fire safety inspections and staff education.
- Provide courteous support and assistance to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Prepare clear and timely incident reports.
- One year of security experience is preferred; hospital security experience is a plus.
