What you will do:  

Rumble is seeking a Network Architect who will be a key contributor to the design, deployment and support of the Rumble network infrastructure.  A successful candidate for this position will be an experienced networking professional, who is capable of creative thinking and building highly available and scalable networks at all layers.

In this key role you will be responsible for:

• Planning, designing and implementing highly available and highly flexible backbone network
• Documenting designs and mentoring staff
• Regularly presenting ideas and designs for network expansion and resilience
• Participation in an escalation on-call rotation, responding to and resolving escalated incidents
• Occasional travel to sites as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Expert level experience with core and datacenter network architecture
• Expert level experience with enterprise and service provider L2 and L3 protocols, such as EVPN, VXLAN, MPLS, BGP, IS-IS
• Expert level experience with L2 and L3 addressing, tunneling, path selection, and forwarding table isolation
• Expert level troubleshooting skills, a creative and methodical thinker who can work within a team of professionals
• Expert level experience with 2 or more of the top network equipment vendors and network operating systems
• Expert level experience with common optical networking technologies
• Ability to clearly articulate designs and ideas both verbally and in writing
• Ability to mentor others within the team
• Effective communicator who is capable of presenting information at all levels of the organization
• Willingness to learn, be challenged and have fun in a dynamic and fast paced environment

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience with one or more network automation tools and scripting languages
• Experience with routing policy configuration
• Experience with traffic exchange at internet peering points
• Experience with anycast and DDoS mitigation strategies
• Experience with network-based traffic filters and traffic captures

Desired Qualification:

• Experience with open source routing software
• Experience with traffic engineering and segment routing protocols
• Strong understanding of open source networking stacks
