Requirements
  • 2 years of design experience in IBM Data Power
  • 2 years of IBM Data Power development
  • 2 years of IBM Data Power administration experience
  • Install & configure IBM Data power virtual appliance
  • Develop services in data power. Ability to design, develop and document development patterns
  • Unit and Integration testing of data power services
  • Ability to create XML/JSON Schema Definitions
  • Knowledge of HTTP(s) and JMS Protocols
  • Ability to develop data power SOAP Services a. Special concentration on defining SOAP Policies, with emphasis on WS Security
  • Ability to develop data power REST based Service a. Includes ODATA services along with REST services that use XML and JSON formats
  • Developing Java scripts and/or Linux scripts
  • Understanding of AAA security implementation when building SOAP and REST services
  • Strong understand of SOA/API concepts
  • Expertise in integration & security best practices
  • Service integration with SAP, MQ, IIB, WAS, JBoss, LDAP, and AD (Active Directory)
  • Troubleshooting ability within a service and across service/component orchestrations that are spread across multiple network zones
  • Knowledge on how to use build tools like RAD for JEE and Jenkins/Subversion for Source Code Control
  • Using monitoring tools like Wily, Solarwind, or other tools that provide service health and tracing of events through services

Responsibilities
  • Install and configure IBM Data Power virtual appliance
  • Develop services in IBM Data Power and document development patterns
  • Perform unit and integration testing of IBM Data Power services
  • Create XML/JSON Schema Definitions for services
  • Develop IBM Data Power SOAP Services with a focus on SOAP Policies and WS Security
  • Develop IBM Data Power REST based services including ODATA and REST services that use XML and JSON formats
  • Develop JavaScript and/or Linux scripts to support Data Power implementations
  • Implement AAA security when building SOAP and REST services
  • Troubleshoot service and cross-service issues across multiple network zones
  • Participate in service integration with SAP, MQ, IIB, WebSphere Application Server, JBoss, LDAP, and Active Directory
  • Utilize build tools such as Rational Application Developer for Java Enterprise Edition and Jenkins/Subversion for Source Code Control
  • Use monitoring tools like Wily, SolarWinds, or equivalent for service health and event tracing
