  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • 15+ years demonstrated ability to motivate and coach a team

Responsibilities
  • Management: Lead, motivate and grow Market Research Managers and Directors, as well as their team of analysts. Support them in day-to-day activities as well as long term professional development taking into account broadening market exposure for the team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support in progressing their careers. Establish processes to improve team impact. Optimize the delivery and results of the team's work within G2 and the Software Industry
  • Collaboration: Establish strong relationships across the G2 organization, customers and partners to manage team alignment with creativity and transparency needed to achieve business goals. Act as the connectors for analysts to other sources of subject matter expertise inside and outside the organization. Evangelize for the impact of the analyst team and the direction of the Market Research roadmap across the organization. Collaborates with the rest of the G2 Product R&D and market facing teams to develop and deliver new types of research offerings generating significant business impact with the support of team subject matter experts
  • Cultural Advocate: Celebrate the success of the team and connect each analyst to the value they are providing to the company and those around them
  • Category Expertise: Acknowledged subject matter expert on multiple software markets and organizational digital transformation initiatives and a sought after expert on broad trends. Thought-leadership: A demonstrated thought leader in the B2B Software Industry with the ability to deliver credible content in a variety of written and presentation formats on the subject. Experience writing with data, and eagerness to use G2 data to enhance their narratives. Establishes playbooks and shares best practices to demonstrate and help other team members do the same
  • Category development: Lead and inspire team with the appropriate actions to grow the business in the critical categories through sales support, business development, partner development and other methods as necessary. Assist in driving the direction of the category roadmap within the Product R&D Team. Turns opportunities into results
  • Ecosystem relationships: Take a proactive approach to connecting with key software business, partners, and customers in the SW ecosystem and coach other team members to do the same. Lead and redefine G2's Lead Analyst program, providing white-glove service to key customers in partnership with sales; delegate related activities to team members
