  • BS/BA degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hazard mitigation, resilience planning, and/or project management.
  • Minimum of 3 years working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency or other federal agency
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team working with local communities and tribal nations to increase community resilience and support coordination with other entities involved in resilience efforts for a dedicated geographic region.
  • Coordinate staff at the regional level to align community engagement efforts with federal goals and objectives.
  • Oversee a team of technical experts who inform resilience planning and project design.
  • Support briefing, reporting, and coordinating activities to track and measure resilience efforts.
  • Ensure that all laws, rules, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, government agencies, and tribal nations to foster collaboration and support resilience planning and projects.
  • Work with communications experts to develop and implement community engagement plans and outreach strategies to support overall program objectives and ensure broad and diverse community participation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to leverage resources and develop partnerships that enhance community resilience and engagement.
  • Manage team designing resilience projects, including identifying mitigation opportunities, completing technical reviews, engaging stakeholders, and preparing for implementation.
  • Identify potential funding opportunities and support application development and grant management to support communities’ and tribal nations’ resilience priorities.
  • Perform quality control on deliverables to ensure compliance with regulations and ensure consistency and accuracy.
