Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in the State of Idaho or a compact state.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Wound Care Certification, such as Wound Care Certified or Certified Wound Care Nurse, is preferred or the candidate must be willing to obtain it within the specified timeframe.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification are preferred.
- The candidate must demonstrate customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments and accurately document findings.
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans.
- Provide advanced wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement support, and negative pressure wound therapy.
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on wound care prevention and management.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy, and care teams to coordinate care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care outcomes.
- Support pressure injury prevention programs and audits.
Desired Qualifications
- Wound care experience.
- Wound Care Certification, such as Wound Care Certified or Certified Wound Care Nurse.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
