Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or other engineering discipline
  • Versed in SolidWorks, Revit, and/or Rhino
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a related field of Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Understanding and insight of Construction Processes - Rebar, reinforced concrete, lintels, framing
  • Experience using Concrete and Cementitious Materials
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in FEA and FMEA
  • Experience in Regulatory Compliance. (ICC, UL, & ACI)
  • Experience with concrete using additives, fluid systems, or other concrete mixing devices a plus
  • Experience working with large datasets and analyzing systems using Python, SQL, or other database analytics tools
  • Heavy machinery experience a major plus
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be prepared to work, in part, in extreme environments: temps > 100 degrees or below freezing, sun, rain, mud, lack of electricity, etc
Responsibilities
  • Engineer wall system test campaigns, design test infrastructure, and generate test plans
  • Design strategies and processes to test architectural and structural designs using 3D additive construction technology
  • Technical expert in the application and integration of our print technology with architectural and structural design
  • Acts as subject matter expert in cross-functional projects to solve complex problems - Architects test campaigns, develops reinforcement plans in conjunction with HOME team, and acts as on-slab print authority
  • Completes data reviews consisting of analyses on printability, efficiency, sustainability, and constructibility of architectural designs
  • Work with internal and external architects and engineers to develop test plans and propose potential solutions to test issues. Acts as primary owner for delivering major architectural mockups to push the limits of 3D printed architecture
