  • JD in Law or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or related field
  • 15+ years of prime contract administration experience for the Federal Government/Agencies (GSA, DOD, IC, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of federal contracting regulations (FAR, DFARS, etc.)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts
  • Strong understanding of risk management, pricing strategies, and contract compliance
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration
  • Capability of independently negotiating the most complex contractual issues
  • Proven ability for managing and directing work involving complex situations
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Proven effective leader with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance
Responsibilities
  • Effectively build strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Effectively manage a group of Contract Professionals
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Effectively team with the Market Lead, Market BD Lead and Market Finance Lead to achieve all the goals/objectives of the Market
  • Negotiate the most significant contracts or contract modifications, often under difficult conditions
  • Draw upon broad prior experience to effectively negotiate the most favorable terms and conditions with prospective and current clients while achieving Company objectives
  • Identify risks and contractual terms not conforming to Company policy
  • Participate in Division, Company, and Corporate strategic planning activities for specific projects (e.g., risk assessment, bid/no bid analysis, participation in business plan development, etc.)
  • Select personnel, make staffing assignments, supervise work produced to ensure consistent high-quality performance
  • Provide training and development for personnel assigned
  • Maintain active participation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues
  • Keep subordinates up to date relative to the availability of resource materials dealing with current contract administration and negotiation issues
