Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented IT Project Manager to join our team in the Stennis, MS.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Define scope, objectives and deliverables within the network, security and cloud operations environment
- Coordinate project activities and develop project schedules
- Create work packages tied to milestones, identify dependencies, and schedule work: Ensure tasks are assigned and completed on time; Track and report on project milestones and deliverables
- Risk management and developing risk mitigation strategies: Assist in identifying and assessing risks related to network, security, and cloud operations; Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies; Monitor risks throughout the project.
- Stakeholder Management: Work with stakeholders to prioritize operations tasks and engineering projects; Provide routinely scheduled reports to senior managers on task and project performance
- Work closely with the PMO team to maintain visibility of all tasks and projects; Provide updates on network, security and cloud operation policies, SOPs, and Best Practices to the PMO team
- Vendor Management: Coordination of procurement, installation and maintenance of network, security, and cloud systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements
- Documentation and Reporting: Support the development of briefings and presentations for customers;
- Support the development of documentation on policies, SOPs, and Best Practices; Provide status updates and other project information and options as requested
- Change Management: Manage change requests related to network, security, and cloud operations;
- Assess the impact of changes on the project; Utilizing Change Control Boards (CCBs) to manage and control any project-related changes, ensuring effective and efficient project delivery
- Quality Management: Define and monitor project quality standards; Conduct quality control checks
- Provide technical expertise and data to support customer decision-making on solution alternatives and other investments
- Provide technical direction to guide project team execution
- Provide guidance and task assignment to program personnel mentoring team members improving support to the customer
Basic Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, finance, business management, or related degree
- A minimum of (1) one year of experience as a Technical Project Manager
- Knowledge and experience applying project management best practices
- IT knowledge and understanding
- Experience on projects involving Agile and DevOps processes
- Understanding of and some experience overseeing implementation of ITIL practices
- Experience leading small project teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification
- An Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification
- Experience with Change Control Boards and change management
- Experience working with ServiceNow
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must hold a Secret level clearance
- Eligible to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
