Reporting to president Okan Pekin, Manickam will lead all technology initiatives for the Software-as-a-Service optimisation platform and marketplace operated by Capitolis, as well as its data and AI strategy. Founded in 2017, Capitolis uses algorithmic processing to run multilateral trade compression cycles, identifying and eliminating redundant derivatives positions in FX and equities markets. Platform developments over the past year include a new futures porting solution, expanded FX initial margin optimisation, and straight-through processing integrated into its Novation service. Manickam specialises in fixed income, currencies, commodities, trade management, regulatory technology, and post-trade platforms. He joins Capitolis as CTO following a 17-year career at Bank of America. During this tenure, he led large-scale transformation initiatives focused on FX, fixed income, credit, rates, and emerging markets. Manickam most recently served Bank of America as managing director and global head of FICC macro trade management and emerging markets technology. Capitolis names Ashwath Bhat as new Chief Financial Officer. Capitolis, the financial technology firm, has appointed Ashwath Bhat as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective August 3. Bhat will report directly to Gil Mandelzis, the company's Chief Executive Officer and Founder, and will take charge of Capitolis' global finance organization as the firm looks to sustain its growth trajectory. Bhat succeeds Lindsey Baptiste Fiedler, who is stepping back from the CFO role but will stay on with Capitolis in an advisory capacity to support a smooth handover. Bhat arrives with more than 20 years of financial leadership experience spanning both public and private sector organizations. He most recently served as CFO of Fractal, an AI and analytics company listed on the National Stock Exchange of India, where he oversaw the company's IPO in February 2026 while helping boost revenue and profitability. Before that, he spent over a decade at Nielsen in various senior finance positions, including CFO roles at Global Media, Product and Technology, and at Gracenote.
