Requirements
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 15+ years overall IT related experience, including microservices
  • Proven hands-on experience as an Architect who led transformation to a microservices based architecture
  • Ability to lead/influence business and technical teams in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to work closely with our internal product teams to ensure that our APIs can be used to enable the required use cases and scenarios across the spectrum of products
  • Experience working with API gateway solutions such as: Azure APIM, APIGEE, AWS, et al
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud environments and good knowledge of API integrations and similar technologies
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools
  • Experience working for leading SaaS companies with a diverse customer base spanning small business owners, SMB, and enterprise
  • Experience in products catering to one or more business domains
  • Experience with technical delivery teams leveraging continuous delivery for launch
  • Experience at developing and delivering complex products at high velocity and with aggressive deadlines
  • Strong analytical approach, with attention to detail and excellent reporting skills
  • Ability to communicate and manage stakeholder relationships effectively, internally, and externally
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills
  • TOGAF and/or Agile/Scrum certifications preferred
Responsibilities
  • Own and manage functional architecture for one or more domains
  • Develop functional architecture for one or more products, coarse grain services or business function
  • Identify portfolio level capability gaps, duplicates, and propose new services and products
  • Functional decomposition of services and products to manageable microservices
  • Data architecture for one or more domains
  • Recommend buy vs. build
  • Adherence to enterprise level and compliance requirements
  • Develop and contribute to Reference Architecture and Design patterns
  • Participate actively in product planning and roadmap definition
  • Help resolve technical blocking issues and coordinate solutions across multiple technical teams
  • Ensure engineering team has needed information on endpoints and contracts
  • Determine technical feasibility, dependencies, and constraints in delivering services and products
  • Anticipate and proactively manage data governance, security, scalability and stability risks
  • Identify functional tradeoffs, escalate risks, and manage mitigation in collaboration with neighbor Digital Technology teams
  • Develop and articulate defensible points of view based on data from primary and secondary researching including direct customer engagement
  • Drive clarity and set standards on product performance and effectiveness metrics that measure and benchmark product success
  • Stay abreast of new technology capabilities and leverage knowledge in contributing to product solutions. Recommend and plan innovative products and features
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across the organization
