Requirements
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of excel: XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables
- Knowledge of accounting controls: SOX Compliance, GAAP
- Understanding of treasury and cash management systems
- Bachelors in or 2+ yrs Finance, Accounting, experience
- Capable of explaining complex financial concepts and situations clearly to all departments
- Familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform variance analysis on daily/weekly/monthly/annual reports. Investigate and report on findings, propose potential solutions
- Assist in establishment of controls and procedures for new business lines
- Commission payout processing and analysis
- Payment application and review
- Develop and Provide trainings to other departments regarding new financial tasks
- Reconciliation & balancing of disbursements, AP, and various accounts
- Treasury assistance and maintenance - process payments, transfers, research, and reporting
- Work closely with accounting to maintain audit controls and produce requested documents and reports during audits
- Review for possible fraudulent transactions, improper endorsements and report findings to team, partners, and bank contacts
- Review and update escheatment and aging reports, convey results to billing
- Detect, Recognize, report, and recommendation for financial system inefficiencies
- Individual and team project management
- Escheatment tracking and reporting on a state-by-state basis
- Create detailed procedures each time the team receives a new task. Maintain and improve current procedures
- Provide financial guidance to other departments, and assist with escalated issues
- Create, control, and maintain shared cross-departmental tracking sheets
