The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve National Security? We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of National Security's toughest problems. 

On our team, you’ll collaborate with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in Oracle to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud solution components. You’ll have the chance to work within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using current cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with National Security to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process.  

You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you’ll broaden your skill set in areas like cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions while developing critical systems for National Security.

You Have: 

• 10+ years of experience with Cloud Architecture
• 3+ years of experience in the implementation of cloud technologies, including AWS
• Experience with CI/CD tools
• Experience with Terraform
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree
• Oracle Associate Architect Associate Certification or Oracle Architect Professional Certification

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience managing and optimizing databases on AWS, including RDS and DynamoDB
• Experience programming in Python for automation and scripting tasks 
• Experience with DevOps practices and methodologies
• Ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and work with third-party APIs

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
