Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • College business courses or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum two years’ work experience in agency Business Affairs, Production, or Talent Payroll Company
  • Minimum seven years of experience managing talent rights and budgets
  • Experience in broadcast business affairs and talent payments
  • Solid understanding of the SAG-AFTRA Commercial, Co-Ed, and/or New Media agreements
  • Familiarity with labor laws impacting the advertising industry
  • Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Manage clients’ talent-related business matters
  • Prepare client materials based on union contracts and non-union labor guidelines
  • Evaluate and resolve labor and union claims and disputes
  • Review and assess collective bargaining agreements and labor laws for compliance
  • Negotiate and procure contracts on behalf of Agency and/or Client
  • Provide ongoing client training for business affairs/talent payment processes
  • Memorialize contract terms and manage the contract requirements
  • Process invoicing for billing of talent fees
  • Create client reports, production reports, completion reports, talent advice, etc.
  • Train, coach, and mentor staff
  • Troubleshoot new challenges with teammates
  • Lead or assist on large projects
  • Maintain organized and accurate talent/commercial files
  • Retain clients through pro-active problem-solving and responsive client service
  • Help expand client business into other areas of TTC BA expertise
  • Attend new business meetings as needed
  • Develop leads/research potential clients
