Requirements
  • At least 6 years of experience designing, building, and operating production systems.
  • Expertise in C or C++.
  • Familiarity with a production-grade codebase in a modern programming language, including application of coding best practices and production of high-quality code.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related industry experience.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including an on-call rotation covering weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
  • Build and own fraud detection capabilities for the Stytch fraud platform on Twilio, including browser and device internals for complex signal collection to improve identification of bad actors and protect customers from fraud and abuse.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction, translate customer needs into technical plans, and deliver roadmap features.
  • Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams to align architecture, integrate platform capabilities, and unblock cross-team initiatives.
  • Author design documents, drive key technical decisions, review code, and maintain close involvement with shipped systems.
  • Break down complex problems, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and adopt new technologies or strategies when they improve outcomes.
  • Improve production quality and resilience through observability, incident response, and remediation.
  • Mentor and support other engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge-sharing.

  • Experience with reverse engineering or reverse-engineering detection and prevention, including browser automation, botting, or fraud detection and defense techniques.

Twilio's Q2 revenue jumps 22% to $1.5B, stock surges 15.7%
