Satellite Mission Management Engineer, Lead
The Opportunity:
Booz Allen is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking systems engineer to help our clients transform their satellite mission management systems to meet the challenges of the future. Satellite mission management is changing as space architectures transform from small numbers of highly complex satellites to large, integrated, and proliferated architectures that require fundamental new ways of transforming customer needs into mission value through satellite tasking, planning, scheduling, collection, and processing. Automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and hybrid cloud, and edge computing approaches will all play a role in meeting the future mission management challenge. Booz Allen needs your experience and expertise to build our business and support our clients to make this future a reality.
As a Satellite Mission Management Engineer, you will help define end-to-end solutions to successfully manage emerging satellite architectures for national security space programs. You will leverage your knowledge of the industry and existing mission management systems and approaches in collaboration with other systems engineers, software developers, and Subject Matter Experts to model candidate system architectures, conduct trade studies, and identify gaps and risks that must be addressed to successfully develop future mission management systems. You will engage with clients and industry partners to keep the team informed about the development of future space architectures, and develop white papers, demonstrations, and proposals for next-generation mission management systems to continue expanding our business and mission impact. As our business grows, you will take on key systems engineering roles on one or more contracts to ensure successful delivery of new mission management systems to our clients.
