Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of wind turbine maintenance or related industrial maintenance experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals is required.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment is required.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
  • Ability to climb wind turbines, work at heights exceeding 300 feet, and safely ascend and descend ladders multiple times per day is required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions, confined spaces, and elevated work areas is required.
  • Ability to meet site-specific safety and fitness-for-duty requirements is required.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance according to original equipment manufacturer and site requirements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system issues.
  • Perform repairs, component replacements, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Use technical drawings, schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults.
  • Monitor turbine performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and availability.
  • Complete maintenance records, service reports, and work orders accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Participate in site safety meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technicians and site leadership to minimize downtime and support operational goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and properly care for company tools and equipment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Technical, trade school, military, or vocational training is preferred.
  • Previous experience working on utility-scale wind turbines is preferred.
  • Familiarity with supervisory control and data acquisition systems and turbine monitoring platforms is preferred.
  • Current Global Wind Organisation certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with GE, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, Nordex, or other utility-scale wind turbine platforms is preferred.
