  • Associate Diploma in CAD / Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in design/consultancy/operational environment
  • Fluent with Autodesk Plant3D based skills
  • Autodesk Plant3D Administrator and Specifications writing skills an advantage but not required
  • Mining and/or Metals industry experience
  • The right cultural fit, not just the right skills
  • Skills in MS Office suite
  • Ability to work dynamically in a changing industry
  • Interest/willingness to learn other disciplines as required
Responsibilities
  • Prepare PFS and detailed design drawings of plant, equipment, services or other structures as directed
  • Knowledge of piping and structural modelling
  • Plant Layout knowledge
  • Prepare designs and detail drawings from plans, sketches or other design/specification data
  • Participate in the review of designs and advise on technical drafting difficulties or government compliance requirements as appropriate
  • Contribute to periodic reporting e.g. Project progress; resource requirements, Project budget versus cost, priorities, allocation of work, team needs
  • Upkeep of drawing list and percentage complete status
  • Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality management process and system
  • Understand Sedgman standard specifications, typical/standard drawings, and calculations/simulations to reflect current industry standards
