Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of technical or scientific recruiting experience or government contracting recruiting experience
  • Familiarity with NIH. Work experience at NIH is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to fully recruit once a job description is received with minimal supervision and direction
Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the full recruiting life cycle for all open positions both internally and externally
  • Identify highly qualified candidates to fill scientific positions
  • Assist to recruit for technical positions as needed
  • Work with Program Managers to devise a recruiting plan and create a detailed position description
  • Creatively source active and passive, high-quality talent; develop creative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill positions, including direct sourcing and internet recruitment, leveraging industry networks; continue to build a talent pipeline
  • Negotiate and close talent with offers and starts
  • Document and report in Axle’s applicant tracking system
  • Become a credible and trusted talent advisor to hiring managers
  • Screening and vetting of candidates telephonically
  • Create strong relationships within the scientific community within and outside NIH
  • Assist in responding to proposals by identifying the right profiles and building a pipeline of vetted resources
