Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, or related field.
  • Medical Technologist, Certified (MT) - P American Society for Clinical Pathology Upon Hire required
  • Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Upon Hire required
  • American Medical Technologist, Certified (AMT) - American Medical Technologists Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Cytogenetic Technologist (CG) - ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) - within 1 year required
Responsibilities
  • Performs highly complex cytogenetic work.
  • Prepares, analyzes and interprets results utilizing specialized software when necessary.
  • Initiates, develops and implements additional assays.
  • Utilizes strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as exceptional manual laboratory techniques.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a cytogenetic technologist with ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (if certification eligible, certification must be obtained within two years of date of hire) is desired.
