Requirements
  • Bachelors and Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years CAE FEA experience for Function, Durability and NVH in Automotive Powertrain or Driveline, including transfer cases, gearboxes or electric drive modules.
  • Proficiency with Ansys Mechanical Workbench software for static and dynamic FEA.
  • Familiarity with structural Acoustic predictions.
  • Familiarity with running analyses through HPC technology.
  • Self-directed/self-motivated.
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
  • Perform Design analysis/calculations using FEA Ansys tools to support structural, fatigue and NVH requirements.
  • Work with internal and outside engineering resources to reach optimized component and system designs for function, durability and NVH.
  • Support design recommendations by coordinating Validation or NVH testing for correlation to predicted results.
  • Lead advanced projects which will benefit component or system-level design and/or CAE group methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other CAE team members on projects and methodologies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hybrid Analysis (combined 1D and 3D analytical plus empirical math modeling) experience for Function, Durability and NVH in Automotive Powertrain or Driveline, including transfer cases, gearboxes or electric drive modules is preferred.
