Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of systems design and development experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • US Citizen: This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
Responsibilities
  • Candidate should have experience in avionics systems engineering
  • Capable of providing technical guidance for avionics systems definition, design, integration, and verification
  • Candidate should have prior experience related to developing products used for avionics computing and/or data server applications at the LRU level.
  • Candidates should have prior exposure to defining architectures and requirements for avionics systems for avionics computing and data storage products.
  • The candidate should have prior experience with systems engineering processes including requirements definition, requirement allocation, requirements management, and requirements verification and validation.
  • The candidate should have first-hand experience working in the lab integrating software onto hardware platforms, working with test equipment, the various design assurance disciplines as well as manufacturing.
  • The candidate must be able to work closely with customers, to organize and lead the systems portion of design reviews from SRR through to PRR.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Data Transfer Systems
  • Ability to read and critique electrical schematics.
  • Ability to read and critique software source code.
  • Experience in developing software in Python, C, or any other common language.
  • Experience with systems modeling tools/language (e.g., Cameo, SysML, MATLAB, etc.)
  • Experience designing Cyber Security, Computing Platforms, Data Networking, and embedded software design.
  • Strong competency using the DOORs Requirements management tools
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
