Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to promote Percona’s PostgreSQL solutions within the community
Create engaging and informative content, including blogs, webinars, and tutorials, focusing on the capabilities and advantages of PostgreSQL
Represent Percona at conferences, meetups, and other events as a subject matter expert on PostgreSQL
Foster relationships with the PostgreSQL community, including developers, users, and other stakeholders
Provide feedback to Percona’s product and engineering teams based on community input and trends
Participate in online forums, social media platforms, and other digital channels to engage with the PostgreSQL community
Collaborate with Percona’s marketing team to align community engagement strategies with broader company goals
Availability during overlap hours between the Americas and EMEA, with 10%-30% expected travel based on community engagement and speaking strategy

Position Charter:

As a PostgreSQL Evangelist at Percona, you will play a crucial role in promoting and enhancing the use of PostgreSQL within the broader open-source community. You will be responsible for advocating the benefits of Percona’s PostgreSQL software and services, engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences to increase adoption and awareness.

What You Will Do:

Develop and implement strategies to promote Percona’s PostgreSQL solutions within the community.

What You Have Done:

Proven experience as a technical evangelist, advocate, or a similar role (prior focus on PostgreSQL is a plus)
Hands-on knowledge of PostgreSQL, PostgreSQL Provided tools and Contribution modules
Strong technical background in databases and open-source technologies
Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with experience in content creation and community engagement.
Deep understanding of the open-source ecosystem and community dynamics.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible language
