Role Description

An exciting opportunity to join the most vibrant UM team and drive forward both our strategy product & Futureproof positioning.
Working with a combination of leading household brands in the Technology, Travel, Beauty, Food Delivery, FMCG sectors, including Dyson, Listerine, Just Eat & American Express. We’ll allocate the clients based on your experience, personal preference and career aspirations.
Some of your time to be allocated to new business projects, writing the strategic audiences approach for UK pitches or interpreting / localising global audiences for the UK.
You will work collaboratively with multiple teams across the Mediabrands network, whilst having autonomy to manage key deliverables within the team.
Role Responsibilities
Support strategy team in Identifying audiences for growth
- Create Audience pen portraits
- Building a rich, inspiring and insightful picture of communities in the UK
- Building Audiences in industry tools…TGI, YouGov and UM’s Data Stack.
- Sizing the business and media task
- Spotting volume/value opportunities for media to source growth
- Spotting cultural/ data opportunities that can unlock business growth and futureproof client business
- Seeking out wider-world resources
- Creating beautiful presentations
- Working across both existing UM Clients and New Biz Opps
Support & fuel the creation of industry leading ideas across Strategy, Content, Partnerships and Media
- Finding insights/ tensions that spark creativity
Collaborate with research team developing questionnaires
- Creating & testing hypotheses
- Ensuring all relevant data is collected to build a complete and robust story
Support in delivering segmentations
About You

- You will have an ambition to get involved in the broader agency culture as well as building UM’s reputation in the wider industry
Eligibility criteria to complete the Apprenticeship:
- You do not hold a prior qualification at the same or higher level which is similar to this apprenticeship (Level 3 Advertising and Media Executive). A-Levels and below are fine.
- You are not studying towards a qualification at the same or higher level which is similar to this apprenticeship (Level 3 Advertising and Media Executive). A-Levels and below are fine.
- You are not on another Department for Education funded training programme, including another apprenticeship or studying.
- You have the right to work and live in the UK (You cannot begin an apprenticeship on a Student Visa).
- You have lived in the UK, EEA, Gibraltar or Switzerland for at least 3 years.
- GCSE Grade A-C or 9 – 5 in English and Maths is preferable. If you have not achieved a grade C/ 5 and above, you will be required to take a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English alongside your other qualification.
- You are aged 18+.
