Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business, information technology or computer science, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of project management experience with demonstrated responsibility for managing multiple complex, high-visibility project implementations.
  • An active Project Management Professional certification.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, and OneDrive.
  • Within one year, acquire familiarity with CCRC program areas, funder requirements, HIPAA and Medi-Cal processes, Office of Head Start, DPSS, CDSS, and CDE program requirements and standards, and the business and operations of child care center facilities.
  • Some travel and business-related driving is required. Drivers must maintain a current California driver's license, current auto insurance, and CCRC approval with DMV clearance.
  • The position requires a hybrid schedule, typically two to three days per week in the office.
  • A background check is required, with role-dependent verification or clearance requirements such as Live Scan or DOJ fingerprinting, health clearance, MVR or DMV clearance, a Child Development Permit, CPR or Pediatric CPR certification, and federal debarment checks.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage small and large project initiatives to meet CCRC business objectives.
  • Complete project intake, onboarding, requirements analysis, project charter documentation, and project plan development and updates.
  • Ensure project sponsors, key stakeholders, and project resources are educated and informed about project status.
  • Lead projects using Project Management Institute standards for waterfall, predictive, agile, and hybrid projects.
  • Administer detailed project progress and change management through project completion.
  • Ensure completed projects meet the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with CCRC leadership to keep project requirements, deadlines, budgets, and schedules on track.
  • Analyze business functions and protocols, gather and document information, develop process flow diagrams and mind maps, and recommend process, people, and technology improvements by identifying problems, risks, and process inefficiencies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Expert experience in information technology project implementations and coordination of technology staff and consultants.
  • Facility operations and improvement experience.
  • Experience in early education, social service, or nonprofit settings, including experience with related policies and procedures.
  • A master's degree in business administration, information technology or computer science, communications, or a related field.
  • Other Project Management specialty certification and/or related process and quality improvement certifications.
  • Expert experience with specialized project management tools such as MindMeister, Visio, and JotForm.

It trains and supports child care providers through professional development, coaching, and technical assistance to strengthen the local child care system and economy. Programs include a community family resource directory, research and evaluation, and advocacy through government relations to share laws, budgets, and events.
