Requirements
  • A BS in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent technical or field experience is also accepted.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the AEC industry with strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, coordinated modeling, and construction documentation across multiple projects, including exposure to coordination processes or field-related activities.
  • Ability to lead BIM coordination efforts, including clash detection, model review, and cross-discipline resolution.
  • Ability to maintain model health at a senior production level, including workset management, view template application, warning resolution, and model cleanup.
  • Ability to manage and maintain coordinated models, produce accurate drawings with minimal oversight, and resolve production issues independently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage workloads across several projects, lead coordination efforts, and support engineers and project leads.
  • Solid technical understanding of technology systems and engineering principles, including the ability to perform calculations, conduct product research, and contribute to design development with limited guidance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and GitHub.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform the stated physical and site-related duties, including occasional client-site travel, extended standing or walking, stair climbing, navigation of construction or utility areas, work in confined spaces, and occasional lifting or moving of equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Own modeling strategy, coordination workflows, and delivery quality across assigned projects in alignment with company objectives.
  • Deliver modeling, documentation, and early engineering work with increasing independence and sound judgment.
  • Prepare coordinated views, calculations, research, and specifications to support engineering design decisions.
  • Structure models, manage links, and resolve coordination issues with production teams.
  • Apply engineering principles to device layouts, routing strategies, and coordination decisions.
  • Estimate effort, sequence work, and coordinate task distribution within the assigned scope.
  • Lead modeling and documentation efforts across moderate to complex scopes.
  • Maintain model integrity by managing warnings, optimizing views, updating templates, and applying modeling standards consistently.
  • Lead BIM coordination by performing clash reviews, documenting issues, and resolving or escalating conflicts.
  • Participate in discipline, project, engineering, production, and coordination meetings, communicate risks and assumptions, and help drive alignment.
  • Identify risks early, resolve modeling challenges, and guide junior designers through production workflows.
  • Document design decisions, assumptions, and updates in project tools and GitHub.
  • Maintain accurate and timely time and expense entries.
  • Lead updates to drawing sets, models, calculations, and documentation to support deadlines and cross-discipline accuracy.
  • Execute advanced design, modeling, coordination, and production tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Run clash detection workflows, review aggregated models, and coordinate next steps with engineering and project teams.
  • Ensure modeling approaches, view structures, and family usage support efficient coordination and documentation across project phases.
  • Support site visits and existing-conditions verification when needed.
  • Review cross-discipline models and documentation, identify risks, and propose coordinated solutions.
  • Prepare or refine diagrams, schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Contribute to product research, technical evaluations, and specification development.
  • Refine templates, views, tools, families, and shared content to improve production workflows and consistency.
  • Provide modeling, documentation, or coordination guidance to Designer I and Designer II team members.
  • Participate in performance assessments and demonstrate growth in technical leadership, workflow ownership, and documentation impact.
  • Draft documentation updates, refine standards, and prepare Pull Requests that improve clarity, efficiency, and coordination workflows.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience delivering technology system designs in Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, Wi-Fi, or other technology disciplines, including calculations, device layouts, and specification development.
  • Industry certifications such as EIT, CDT, CTS (AV), RCDD (Telecom), PSP/CPP (Security), or PE.
