Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in electrical construction or a similar industry.
  • An electrical license is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical installations, codes, and construction methods is required.
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints for structured cabling, building controls, fire alarm, security, and access control is required.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and related personal-computer skills, is required.
  • A driver's license and clean driving record are required.
  • Strong mathematics and organizational skills are required.
  • The ability to prioritize and organize work is required.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide coordination support to construction project management and field staff.
  • Assist with managing project documentation, including submittals, requests for information, and project meeting minutes.
  • Assist with supervising and directing project activities, including planning and coordinating work, resolving problem areas, and maintaining company and project policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain change-order, submittal, and document-control logs in Viewpoint.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Project Executive with subcontractor interactions to obtain correct documentation and drawings for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Create Job Information Sheets and establish job files under the direction of the Project Manager or Project Executive.
  • Assume temporary total project supervision responsibilities when the Project Manager is absent.
  • Read and develop a basic understanding of electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Assist with establishing workflow breakdowns in conjunction with Field Supervisors and Project Managers.
  • Help ensure project billings are accurate and submitted monthly and on time according to contract documents.
  • Assist with writing and submitting quality requests for information.
  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring timely payment to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Review and update construction-schedule status at the request of the Project Manager or Project Executive.
  • Assist the Project Management team with setting up project budgets in Viewpoint in conjunction with the Field Supervisor.
  • Work with the Payroll department to ensure accurate payroll information is submitted.
Desired Qualifications
  • Estimating and project-management skills are preferred.
  • Electrical license is preferred.
