Title:Sr Project Manager

Description
The Project Manager will oversee a multi-disciplinary team to manage project budgets, schedules, resources, quality, change, risk, scope, and meet customer expectations.
This candidate will be responsible for managing series development projects for production vehicles. With a team of 2-4 engineers, this PM will be responsible for collaborating with development teams in Europe to modify and introduce new driver assistance systems for US specific conditions. This role will involve several exciting travel opportunities throughout the country, and attention to details of driving related functions will be necessary to ensure successful completion of projects.
Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related
• Proven industry project management experience in interdisciplinary and inter-organizational teams, from conception to completion
• Strong skills in story-boarding, use-case analysis, requirements development and management
• Milestone development, change control management, prioritized error management,
• US Driver’s license with no more than 2 violation points and no DUI conviction
• Good driving skills and confidence to drive in major cities
• Programming skills in C, C++, other languages
• Self-starting personality with the ability to quickly learn and develop own ideas in an interdisciplinary environment
Desired
• V-model Systems engineering
• Programming skills in C++ or other similar language
• Familiarity with automotive electronics and driver assistance systems
• Knowledge of automotive industry, including OEM’s, major suppliers, popular features etc
• Understanding of data buses and data communication protocols (CAN, Flexray, etc.)
Main responsibility – 70% of time spent
• Develop requirements for North America specific driver assistance systems functions
• Design test procedures and organize test drives throughout US and Canada
• Analyzing test results, determine root cause, and report bugs in a timely manner in the proper format
• Establish milestones, monitor progress and report status regularly and accurately
• Create and maintain supporting documents and presentations as necessary
• Identify new features for future vehicle models and conduct competitor benchmarks
Additional responsibilities – 30% of time
• Managing logistics including but not limited to vehicle transport, hardware shipment, travel etc.
• Other ERL activities including exploring new innovations and capture intellectual property
• Up to 40% time travel throughout US and Canada
• Up to 2 trips to Germany per year
