THE PROGRAM

We’re looking for students to join our Internship Program who are obsessively curious about ’what’s next’. You’ll get hands on experience with our products and learn from the best of the best in the business. You will complete a specific project in 10-12 weeks with us, while integrating into your team. By the time you end your time with us, you will have been given the opportunity to truly make a real impact in the future of Bose and your career!

Opportunities don’t stop at your day-to-day work. While you’re getting a targeted look at your area of expertise, we’ll expose you to other areas of the company. Our interns are given the opportunity to connect with senior leadership across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You’ll network with other interns and colleagues to grow your network for the future!

Timeframe - June-August 2023

THE ROLE

Join a team of hardworking engineers and contribute to designing and prototyping ground breaking immersive audio experiences.

Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of engineers with deep audio and signal processing expertise. You will be focusing on motion sensing, and its integration with audio systems.

Your duties will include harvesting sensor data from internal user testing and extracting insights that you will use to craft and implement novel motion sensing algorithms supporting a wide range of immersive audio experiences. You will use our internal prototyping tools to experience and evaluate your algorithm, and to share your results with the wider team.

You will also be responsible for summarizing and detailing your findings and help transfer knowledge to product development teams where appropriate.

Requirements/Skills
To be successful in your role, you will need a strong quantitative foundation, familiarity with coding, and to be passionate about new technologies!

• Digital sensors (prior experience working with sensors, such as: IMU, Radar, Lidar… is useful)
• Signal Processing (familiarity with Simulink is useful)
• Coding: proficiency in MATLAB (knowledge of python and bash is useful)
• Good communication skills

Education - Studying towards BS/MS/PHD in EE (or any domain with a strong sensor and analytical component, for example applied sciences: physics, robotics…)
