Requirements
  • Enterprise Firewall Experience:  3+ years of experience configuring and managing enterprise firewalls, Cisco ASA/Firepower.
  • Enterprise Remote Access:  3+ years of experience configuring and managing enterprise level remote access appliances, Pulse Secure.
  • Routing and Switching Experience:  1+ years of experience configuring and managing Cisco routers and switches.
  • Enterprise Access Control System:  1+ year experience configuring and managing access control system, Cisco ACS/ISE.
  • Cisco Security certification: CCNA, is highly desired.
  • Communication skills:  It’s crucial that Network Security Engineers have the ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management clearly and effectively.
  • Team working skills:  Network Security Engineers typically work as a member of several teams, which requires flexibility and adaptability.
  • Problem-solving skills:  It’s the Network Security Engineer’s job to solve problems. Security incidents can happen at any time and it’s expected that these engineers will research, escalate, and resolve issues effectively.
  • On-call rotation:  Able to participate in 24/7 on-call system support rotation.
  • Open to travel
Responsibilities
  • Testing new security features to ensure that they work as intended and do not have any unintended consequences
  • Performing risk assessments to identify potential security weaknesses in regards to the corporate network
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network security devices such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, VPN
  • Collaborate with Security Team on implementation and support of security related hardware and software such as email filtering, url filtering, DNS security
  • Monitoring network activity for signs of intrusion or compromise, such as unusual amounts of traffic or requests for unauthorized access privileges
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments to identify security risks and suggest solutions to mitigate them
  • Designing and implementing network security policies and procedures to protect computer networks from potential attacks
  • Designing and implementing solutions to security problems using a variety of technologies such as firewalls (network segmentation), intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods
  • Responding to security breaches by identifying the source of the breach and taking steps to prevent similar breaches from occurring in the future
  • Documentation and Auditing of policies, rules, configurations
