Requirements

Experience working on projects that delivered data pipelines
Minimum of three years as a project manager working directly with customers and managing a team
Experience with agile sprint delivery of projects and the associated ceremonies
Technical acumen to evaluate designs and technical recommendations to provide the best solution for issues and to help increase customer satisfaction
Experience with software development processes
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or equivalent is preferred

Responsibilities

Manage the delivery of multiple 1-3 month assignments while simultaneously working with the customer and with Ascend Data Engineers
Manage project stakeholder expectations and escalate as needed to remove roadblocks
Troubleshoot and provide customer guidance for basic data pipeline issues
Manage customer product requests working directly with Ascend Product teams to unlock customer data pipelines
Thought leader in agile delivery and methodology to accelerate customer adoption of the Ascend platform
Work closely with our Tech Writers to ensure our documentation is updated and our knowledge base continues to evolve for customer self sufficiency

Desired Qualifications

Experience designing and building cloud-based data solutions that are Lake or Warehouse centric is a plus
Experience with AWS, Snowflake, GCP, Azure, and/or Databricks is a plus

As a Technical Program Manager, you lead various data engineering projects using your project manager and engineering expertise. Projects will include working with prospects for managed trials and also working with new and existing customers to help accelerate their usage of the Ascend. You will help organize and collect customer requirements working with your Ascend data engineering teammates and lead by managing project schedules, identifying risks, capturing key decisions and clearly communicating with the project stakeholders. You are comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations as you are discussing the technical trade-offs on how to implement data pipelines using the Ascend platform.

The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $115,000 - $165,000 USD, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
