Requirements:
This is a placement year opportunity which will take place for 13 months, from July 1st, 2025, until July 31st, 2026
You must be able to live and work in the UK as a hybrid worker, with regular travel to the Reading Headquarters and some travel to the London City office as required.
What you will achieve:
As the Northwest Europe Community Projects and Sustainability Intern, you will play a key support role to the Northwest Europe Managing Director (MD). You will be reporting into and working directly with Northwest Europe Chief of Staff.
You will have the chance to gain practical experience in community initiatives, contribute to HP’s sustainable contributions, improve your project management skills and deepen your understanding of sustainability. Your will also work closely with diverse teams, from sales to sustainability, based both locally and across NWE with many opportunities to expand your network globally.

Key Responsibilities:
Community Project Co-ordination
Develop project management for main projects and provide quarterly metric reports.
Develop and update map/list of NWE community projects as well as tender materials.
Track community projects and their measurable impact.
Organise projects aligned with HPs digital equity goals.
Organise beach and Community Clean-Up events (annual clean-up events at HP locations around NWE) and tree planting initiatives (ADF planting, customer/partner visits, working with the comms team)
Northwest Europe Volunteering Newsletter
Northwest Europe Sustainable Impact Newsletter (working with the UK&I SI intern)
Support and work with other teams
Assist public sector sales teams by addressing inquiries regarding social value at HP for community projects.
Channel engagement: develop/maintain community projects ideas and guidance for Channel Partners.
Customer Engagement: create and update text for use in UK&I bids and tenders.
Connect with EMEA team/interns to share best practices and scale projects.
Offer support for Scottish Procurement Community initiatives, including tree planting, clean-ups, etc.
Develop plan for community projects for NWE and ensure their delivery.
What we are looking for:
Someone with an eye for detail, strong organisation and time management skills.
Self-motivated actively searching our opportunities to add value.
Resourceful person that can provide solutions to problems using own initiative.
Taking ownership of projects, including personal development
Preferred degrees, but not essential, include social sciences, or development studies.
