Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering management, with a track record of building and leading teams
  • Experience with generative AI and machine learning technologies, particularly in natural language processing, personalization, and automation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience building e-commerce features or platforms, especially in non-traditional sectors (e.g., nonprofit fundraising), with a strong understanding of payment systems, order management, and digital product offerings.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team dedicated to NPO fundraising initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high-quality code
  • Oversee the development of new features and enhancements that improve the NPO direct giving experience, including optimizing donation flows, simplifying user interfaces, and increasing conversion rates for nonprofit campaigns
  • Drive the development and implementation of AI-driven fundraising tools, such as AI-powered personalized donation prompts, campaign optimization, and content creation for nonprofit fundraisers
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, and Nonprofit Stakeholders to define the roadmap and ensure successful product launches
  • Use data analytics and customer feedback to iterate on features and optimize the platform’s performance
  • Ensure that all new systems and features are scalable, maintainable, and robust
  • Ensure the platform is accessible to a diverse range of nonprofits, from large organizations to small grassroots causes
  • Lead the creation of e-commerce features that enable nonprofits to sell products (such as merchandise, tickets, or other goods) directly through their fundraising campaigns.

  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and DevOps processes
  • Experience in the nonprofit tech space, including familiarity with popular fundraising tools and platforms
  • Experience working with payment processing systems (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) and related e-commerce tools
  • Experience with GenAI driven products
  • A passion for social impact and giving back to the community.
