  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three to five years of experience in quality control, textile manufacturing, rug or flooring fabrication, or a related manufacturing environment is required.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of rug construction, serging, binding, and finishing techniques is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, design specifications, diagrams, and production instructions is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management systems such as M3, Factory Track, Dancik, or similar platforms is required.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments and communicate quality expectations clearly is required.
  • Ability to lift and move rugs, materials, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds multiple times throughout the workday is required.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds multiple times throughout the workday is required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, and bend for extended periods is required.
  • Ability to perform physical inspections of rugs for extended periods is required.
  • Manual dexterity and visual attention are required for detailed quality inspections.
  • Ability to safely handle and maneuver rugs and materials throughout the production and inspection process is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and mentor Quality Control Inspectors and Packers within the department.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure adherence to production schedules.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to maintain quality and productivity standards.
  • Enforce safety protocols, workplace procedures, and company policies.
  • Inspect luxury rugs for workmanship, color accuracy, pattern alignment, binding and serging precision, and overall finishing quality.
  • Approve or reject rugs according to established quality standards and document defects or variances.
  • Develop and implement quality checkpoints throughout the production process to reduce rework, defects, and returns.
  • Partner with Fabrication, Finishing, and Shipping teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain consistent inspection standards for finished products.
  • Review and update QC procedures, inspection criteria, and training materials.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and collaborate with leadership on corrective actions.
  • Track defects, quality trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly quality performance reports.
  • Support Lean and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency, organization, and workflow while minimizing waste.
  • Recommend process improvements that strengthen product quality and departmental performance.
  • Ensure rugs meet the quality standards expected by luxury clients.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Design teams to clarify product specifications and client requirements.
  • Assist in resolving quality concerns or disputes promptly and professionally.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are a plus.
