- A bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field is required.
- Eight to ten years of healthcare experience is required.
- At least five years of ASC Administrator or healthcare leadership experience is required, preferably in an Ambulatory Surgery Center.
- Strong knowledge of ambulatory surgery center operations, surgical workflows, and perioperative services is required.
- Deep understanding of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Joint Commission, and regulatory requirements is required.
- Demonstrated success in healthcare operations management, budgeting, and financial performance is required.
- A Registered Nurse license is preferred.
- Experience with ambulatory surgery center startup, expansion, or new facility openings is strongly preferred.
- Orthopedic surgery experience is highly desirable.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment is required.
- Lead all aspects of new center startup, including operational readiness, policy development, staffing models, and vendor selection.
- Partner with physicians, executive leadership, and project teams to ensure a successful and timely center opening.
- Establish workflows, infrastructure, and systems to support efficient, high-quality surgical services.
- Drive growth strategy, case volume ramp-up, and service line development, with a strong emphasis on orthopedics.
- Direct, monitor, and evaluate clinical operations to ensure patient care and surgical outcomes.
- Oversee Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Infection Control, and Patient Safety programs.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in perioperative services and surgical workflows.
- Develop, implement, and maintain ambulatory surgery center policies and procedures in alignment with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Conditions for Coverage, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments, and accreditation standards.
- Lead survey readiness efforts and maintain continuous regulatory compliance.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, staffing, case flow, and supply chain management.
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and operational key performance indicators to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Identify opportunities for growth, cost containment, and operational improvement.
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing clinical and administrative team.
- Build strong relationships with surgeons and stakeholders to support physician engagement and case growth.
- Translate organizational strategy into clear operational plans and measurable outcomes.
- Support service line expansion and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Report directly to the Governing Body and Senior Leadership.
