Job Description
The New Business Manager will be responsible for driving the new business agenda for Publicis Toronto locally and cross-border. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this person will work will all senior agency leads to ensure we are identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across our capabilities. This candidate must live and breathe our industry: stay tapped into key category trends, and client business movement.
The New Business Manager will:
- Quarterback new business proposals of all shapes and sizes, working with account and discipline leads to create compelling, beautiful and effective new business submissions
- Lead new business opportunity pipeline management, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Contribute to the outbound new business plan by identifying key opportunities for Publicis Toronto to pursue
- Support the agency’s digital communication strategy (website, social, PR)
- In partnership with the CMO, develop relationships with third party consultants locally and cross-border to ensure we are receiving relevant opportunities from them
- In partnership with the CMO, evaluate and prioritize new opportunities based on Publicis Toronto growth strategies
- Be immersed in all of Publicis Toronto’s evolving capabilities, working closely alongside brand & discipline leads
- Actively monitor industry trends and client movement across priority categories and capabilities; locally and cross-border
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in Business Development, Account Management, Client management. Some agency experience is mandatory.
- Strong communications, resourcefulness and organizational skills
- A passion for advertising and creative in all forms
- Proven ability to successfully work with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and EQ
- Strategic thinker, and can see beyond the trees
- A self-learner and believe in continuous learning and improvement
