- High school diploma or general educational development (GED) required
- 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Operate an injection molding machine to shape plastics and produce pre-forms and/or PET bottles
- Monitor production process and downstream equipment and make process adjustments when needed
- Verify pre-form attributes using statistical process control techniques
- Make adjustments to processes and perform quality assurance testing using laboratory equipment
- Adjust machine settings according to product specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical and process problems
- Perform maintenance on equipment
- Adhere to quality control and blow mold process procedures
- Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines
- Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs
- Train PET/Injection Machine operators
- Prepare and document daily production reports including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, and other metrics
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs
- AS degree is preferred
- Apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty is desirable
