Requirements
  • A current Engineer – 3rd Class license is required, qualifying as the most senior level of Stationary Engineer within a facility.
  • Extensive knowledge of boiler operations, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, electrical equipment, and complex mechanical systems is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of building and plant equipment is required.
  • Experience supervising or directing junior engineering personnel is required.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and operational best practices is required.
  • A Secret clearance is required.
  • Five years of experience in Engineering Services is required.
Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain all Central Plant equipment and related mechanical systems.
  • Serve as the primary technical lead and act in the Chief Engineer’s role during absences or when delegated.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on boilers, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, electrical equipment, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and facility operating procedures.
  • Provide oversight, guidance, and technical direction to junior engineers and maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain equipment logs, inspection records, and operational documentation.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Engineer on plant performance, system reliability, and maintenance planning.
