Requirements
  • At minimum a Bachelor degree in Hydrography, Geomatics or related disciplines;
  • Alternatively proven working experience in the fields of hydrographic surveys;
  • Experience in scripting languages (Python preferred);
  • Experience with Cloud technologies, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, is considered an asset
  • Cat A Hydrography Certification would be an asset;
  • Confidence to stand in front of a crowd and provide in-depth training events;
  • Fluency in English - a second language would be an asset;
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 25-30%);
  • Strong social, inter-cultural, communicative, time management and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Provide first line technical support to our customers;
  • Provide software training in the office as well as at client sites.
  • Build close working relationships with existing clients;
  • Analyze current client systems and issues, identify technical problems, formulate, and demonstrate integrated solutions;
  • Document workflows, operating procedures, and technical notes for our customers;
  • Potentially be involved in marketing and sales activities of Teledyne CARIS , including attending international conferences and exhibitions;
  • Provide expert consultancy, once fully experienced within this role.
