Requirements
  • At least 6 years of experience with software development life cycle and quality assurance methodologies.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Windows and SQL environments.
  • At least 6 years of experience with database testing and writing SQL queries.
  • At least 6 years of experience testing reports.
  • At least 6 years of experience testing Internet and web-related applications.
  • At least 6 years of experience with Oracle and SQL databases.
  • At least 6 years of experience with backend and black-box testing.
  • At least 6 years of familiarity with Quality Center.
  • At least 6 years of experience with HP Quality Center, including version 10.0, for test and defect management.
  • At least 6 years of experience automating PeopleSoft and web application test cases using QuickTest Professional, including versions 10 and 11.
  • At least 6 years of experience with Service-Oriented Architecture.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and strong attention to detail are required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform unit, integration, performance, functional, client acceptance, user interface, batch process, and production support testing using developed plans, tools, and scripts.
  • Participate in design specification and technical documentation reviews.
  • Construct testing tools and scripts for use by other testing analysts.
  • Create testing and performance summary reports communicating testing results to management.
  • Prioritize defects for remediation based on business requirements and customer needs.
  • Contribute to the entire software development life cycle from initial business requirements through deployment and production support.
  • Answer client support questions by phone and email.
  • Design and implement test scenarios and cases, focusing on integration and batch processing scenarios.
  • Create and implement test plans and test scripts, focusing on integration and batch processing testing.
  • Design and develop testing tools for test automation and support.
  • Lead technical testing efforts, including integration and performance testing.
  • Ensure software product quality-of-service levels through performance test benchmarking.
  • Provide production support by investigating and recreating reported defects.
  • Work with multiple database interfaces and standard web architectures.
  • Train and mentor other analysts in testing methodology and the software development life cycle.
  • Assist with implementing quality assurance standards and continual improvement activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Six years of past development experience.
  • Three years of experience with Health Benefit Exchange testing.
