- Hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse nursing license valid in the state where the work is performed.
- Be willing to be available for any or all community emergencies.

- Assist residents with activities of daily living, family and social activities, and independent lifestyles.
- Identify resident medical and behavioral changes and develop, monitor, and reassess resident care plans.
- Provide a daily report to the Director of Health Services concerning community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and nursing-supply needs.
- Provide nursing care according to physician orders, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Ensure preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services for residents and coordinate nursing care with services provided by other disciplines.
- Delegate and supervise care provided by Quality of Life Specialists and Resident Assistants.
