Requirements
  • PhD student in EE / ECE preferable or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Solid background in wireless communication areas such as modulation, channel coding, digital signal processing, wireless communication systems design, filter theory, FFTs, synchronization, detection, equalization, multi-antenna/MIMO systems, etc
  • Proven skills in the simulation of cellular network technologies, to derive tradeoffs and to predict performance in diverse channel conditions
  • Experience in advanced receiver algorithms and link level simulations
  • Ability to clearly define high level requirements and criteria to be used in the evaluation of air interface technology alternatives
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills to effectively represent the derived results and technical concepts developed in the course of the work
Responsibilities
  • Perform research for next generation wireless communication solutions and systems
  • Work within cross-functional, cross-divisional teams and assist in the design, analysis and standardization of PHY/MAC layers of 3GPP standards
  • Evaluate and perform link/system-level simulations for the air interface technologies and create system specification
