Requirements
  • At least 3 years of merchandise planning, inventory management, or retail financial planning experience.
  • Strong proficiency in open-to-buy management and retail mathematics, including initial markup, gross margin percentage, inventory turn, sell-through, and weeks of supply.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage and reconcile data across multiple doors and categories simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate financial data into clear insights and actions for merchant and operator partners.
  • Ability to work remotely and across time zones in a fast-scaling global organization.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing and walking for more than eight hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the open-to-buy process across all Rhoze and Spa Boutique doors, aligning inventory investment with budgets and sales plans.
  • Build and maintain seasonal and annual financial plans by door, region, and category, including sales, receipts, margin, inventory turn, and initial markup and gross margin percentage targets.
  • Reconcile open-to-buy plans monthly in Management One and maintain accurate financial model inputs and outputs across boutique locations.
  • Identify and flag open-to-buy variances, supply and demand imbalances, and receipt-flow issues.
  • Support buyer-led purchasing decisions with financial guardrails, historical data, and scenario modeling.
  • Monitor sell-through, weeks of supply, and inventory productivity at the door, category, and brand levels.
  • Develop and distribute reporting on inventory health, including underperformers, slow movers, and replenishment needs.
  • Collaborate with buyers and area managers on markdown and reorder strategies that protect margin while maintaining floor excitement.
  • Analyze seasonal performance against plan and generate post-season recaps with recommendations for future buys.
  • Partner with boutique buyers to build and manage the seasonal buying calendar, aligning open-to-buy, receipt flow, and trade show timing.
  • Track purchase orders, projected receipts, and on-order commitments across boutique accounts in Management One.
  • Enter and update buying-plan components accurately and promptly while maintaining the integrity of financial reports.
  • Coordinate with operations and finance teams on invoicing, inventory receipt, and reconciliation processes.
  • Build and maintain financial templates, dashboards, and reports showing boutique performance to buyers, regional directors, and executive leadership.
  • Develop key performance indicator tracking for revenue versus plan, margin, turn, initial markup, and sell-through by door and category.
  • Support the Director of Retail Systems and FP&A with monthly financial report compilation, distribution, and data audits.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling for new boutique openings, assortment decisions, and capital planning.
  • Serve as the planning and financial resource for boutique buyers by translating merchant strategy into executable buying plans.
  • Partner with area managers and regional directors to align field-level inventory decisions with the financial plan.
  • Support new boutique openings with pre-opening open-to-buy setup, receipt planning, and inventory readiness.
Desired Qualifications
  • Luxury, multi-door, or boutique retail experience.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Management One, Power BI, Velixo, or Sage Intacct.
  • Additional language proficiency.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Retail Merchandising, or a related field.

Crazy Mountain raises $15M to expand non-alcoholic beer across the US

Crazy Mountain, a Los Angeles-based non-alcoholic beer brand, has raised $15 million in seed funding led by CAVU Consumer Partners, with participation from Coatue and Discovery Land Company. The company currently offers two products — original and lime — which are rolling out across the US this year. CAVU Consumer Partners cited confidence in Crazy Mountain's positioning within the growing non-alcoholic drinks market, which has gained traction particularly amongst younger consumers. Brett Thomas, co-founder and managing partner at CAVU, called moderation "a durable change in behaviour" rather than a passing trend and will join the company's board. Co-founder Rande Gerber said the brand aims to maintain the ritual of drinking beer whilst removing the alcohol.

From Deadwood to Deadrock: Man on the Move

From deadwood to Deadrock: man on the move. Keeping up with actor, artist, Samuel Jackson Enemy-Hunter, Crow Tribal member, is always a challenge. He is a man on the move. Most recently, he finished an Artist in-Residence period in Sept. at the Indian Museum of North America in the Native American Educational and Cultural Center at the Crazy Horse Memorial, N.D. But by the first week of Oct., Enemy-Hunter could be found back in Montana at the Crazy Mountain Ranch in the non-existent town of Deadrock. Clearly, there is a story here. In the shadow of the 11,000-odd feet Crazy Mountain range spreading 40 miles out, the ranch is described on the ranch website as rather unique: "In 1990, publisher Glenn Patch purchased the ranch for the enjoyment of his family and began to assemble the vintage western town of 'Deadrock' on the property, which today continues to be a notable and unique feature of the ranch. As one walks along 'Main Street', you will encounter a wide variety of historical buildings, settler's cabins, hotels, antique furnishings, reclaimed building materials and interesting artifacts, all of which were found and moved to the ranch from towns all over Montana and the West. In 1999, the Philip Morris Corporation purchased the ranch from Patch. For the next 22 years, the property was utilized to reward loyal Marlboro customers by bringing them out to experience the mountains and wide-open spaces of the West. In 2021, Lone Mountain Land Company acquired the ranch to run as a private membership experience featuring outdoor and mountain recreation, golf, lodging and much more. Just as importantly, the 18,000 acre property continues to be run as working cattle ranch that reflects the traditions and work ethic of Montana. Lone Mountain Land Company is partnering with Discovery Land Company to operate the ranch as a private membership." At this point, it is necessary to explain what happened to bring Enemy-Hunter to Deadrock. It was a call to create an instant event. He did not need to be asked twice and knew where to turn. "If I need a last minute posse for an event I can always count on family John Birdinground Marie Faith Birdinground Susan Birdinground Marnie Faith Littlelight and LGerians!" He explained, "Lynn-Wood Fields and I attended an event sponsored by the Harbor Fund in old town Deadrock at Crazy Mountain Ranch and they wanted a drum group and dancers for a cultural demonstration. Wolf Bear (Damon Gros Ventre and crew) stepped up and brought some dancers with them. My sister Elizabeth Swank and Samone came from Bozeman too. I could be wrong but the Crazy Mountains probably haven't heard Apsaalooke songs in over 100 years since the first Crow Agency was moved." The drum keeper, Gros Ventre, also had something to say about the event. "The name WolfBear is my Indian name. How I came up with that, I wanted something new and fresh around the reservation. So that's how we got the name. Active for a year now. We're from the Crow Reservation, we travel around for powwows in state and out of state, and we are always willing to sing for the love of it. And we are thankful for the invite to sing Tuesday." Looking back, Enemy Hunter reflected. "Actors Seth Greene and David Oyelowo were in attendance and spent time with the crew and have never seen or heard anything like it. More events to come and I have this crew on speed dial. A'HO!" What's next for Enemy-Hunter? Parlez vous Francais? Another residency to follow.
